Currently, til the end of the year only! visa application fees for China have been reduced from $185 to $140. This special, one time reduced price is only good til the end of the year! Come get your visa before this deal is gone!

*The following headline is true, not misleading in anyway, and results from the Xi-Biden summit held last month. /Hurray/

As an American you have to pay for a visa to get into China (duh).  You’ll have to submit a lengthy twenty page questionnaire answering all these questions about your employment history, current salary, high school attended, parents’ details such as their names/address/phone number, etc. A virtual door kicking and taking down names by the CCP. Upon submitting the information online you’ll then need to go to the China Embassy or Consulate for an in-person interview.

Appointment slots are typically booked weeks/months in advance, so if your plans are to visit China in a month or two and you haven’t already submitted an online visa application, you’re likely not going to get one in time for your travel date.

However, there is a way around this. It is possible to travel to China without needing or paying for a visa! It is called the 144-hour Visa Free Transit.

I took advantage of this to travel to China and avoided paying any fees, and there were no background checks were required. I will explain the steps to getting approved for a 144 hour Visa Free Transit below.
